(PRIMASPORT) SAN SEVERINO MARCHE Cucine Lube Civitanova confirmed its excellent form by beating Cisterna Volley 3-0 in the first friendly match of the season against a SuperLega team, played at the PalaCiarapica in San Severino Marche in front of 600 spectators.

The Italian runners-up dominated in three sets with scores of 25-22, 25-22, and 25-21, showing good signs of their play and the team under Giampaolo Medei's guidance. The match was evenly balanced at first, but Civitanova was able to increase the pressure, especially at the block, winning the match 10-8.

Alex Nikolov led the way with 12 points, including five aces, while setter Simeon Nikolov emphasized: "We've only been at full strength for a few days, and matches like this are crucial for us to gel. We need to improve on our basic plays and defense, but we'll be ready for our championship debut in Verona." The various substitutions also demonstrated the depth of the red and white squad and the strong response from the entire team.

For Cisterna, coached by Daniele Morato, the top scorer was Colombian Martinez Palacios with 8 points. Despite the loss, the team showed good resilience, particularly on defense and with some incisive attacks.

La Lube prosegue così la preparazione pre-campionato con fiducia e continuità nei risultati. (PRIMASPORT)
