The women's epee team of Alberta Santuccio, Giulia Rizzi, Rossella Fiamingo, and Gaia Caforio also won gold with a resounding victory against Estonia. This was a historic double win for the Italian women's foil fencers, already Olympic women's epee champions.
The foil quartet debuted by defeating Malaysia 45-15 in the round of 32. They also secured a commanding victory in the round of 16 against Brazil, defeating them 45-20. In the quarterfinals against Egypt, the Azzurri won with a commanding 45-28, securing a spot in the semifinal against Japan. The match against the Japanese ended 45-37.
The Italian men's foil team's golden masterpiece materialized in a thrilling final against Hong Kong. The hosts, led by Olympic champion Cheung, immediately took control, reaching an eight-point lead. Italy held on to the match, and at four points down, Bianchi took over against Choi for the final set, launching a dazzling comeback. The tie remained tied at 44-all, but the Italian struck the decisive blow.
The Italian women's epee team began by defeating Australia 40-14. In the round of 16, they battled against Switzerland, defeating them 29-27. With a strong performance, the Italian women's epee team then secured a quarterfinal victory against Hong Kong, the host team, losing 45-24. In the semifinal against Korea, the Italian women's epee team played a sensational match, recovering from a five-point deficit each set to finish 45-44. Victory came in the final against Estonia, with Alberta Santuccio scoring the final goal to make it 31-30. It is the second gold in history for the Italian women's épée in the World Team Championships, 17 years after the last and only (to date) title won in Antalya 2009 by the quartet composed of Nathalie Moellhausen, Bianca Del Carretto, Cristiana Cascioli and Francesca Quondamcarlo.
