NAPLES, SEPTEMBER 25, 2025 – Napoli central defender Alessandro Buongiorno will be sidelined for three games due to a low-grade tear to the adductor longus muscle in his left thigh.
The player sustained the injury during last Monday's match against Pisa, which forced him to leave the pitch due to pain. Tests performed today at Pineta Grande Hospital confirmed the diagnosis.
The club announced that Buongiorno has already begun his rehabilitation program. He is expected to return after the international break, with the goal of being available for the October 18 match in Turin.
Coach Antonio Conte will be able to rely on Rrahmani, who has just returned from injury, and Juan Jesus to cover the central defensive role in the upcoming matches against Milan, Sporting Lisbon and Genoa.
