TURIN – Luciano Spalletti wants another striker to complete Juventus. The Juventus coach reiterated this in discussions with the management at Continassa and also publicly after the victory in Frosinone, clearly indicating the characteristics of the profile he believes is necessary.
Physicality, aerial play, and presence inside the penalty area: this is the identikit drawn up by the coach. At the top of the list remains Alexander Sorloth, Norwegian centre forward for Atletico Madrid.
Sorloth remains the first target
Until a few weeks ago, Juventus had evaluated the possibility of building the operation by exploiting Atletico's interest in Nico Gonzalez, who already moved to the Spanish club last season.
The situation, however, has changed. Spalletti likes the Argentine, and his transfer has been put on hold for now.
Atletico Madrid, on the other hand, have shown interest in Jonathan David. The Canadian could therefore become the player around which to build a possible deal for Sorloth, through a trade or two separate operations.

The main obstacle remains the salary of the former Lille player, who earns approximately 6 million euros plus bonuses. A high figure also for Atletico Madrid, but contacts between the two clubs continue.
David has also reportedly acknowledged that he has slipped back in Spalletti's attacking hierarchy and is now more open to considering a departure, even on loan.
The Canadian has also moved Fiorentina, who could delve deeper into the matter after completing the sale of Moise Kean to Como. Juventus have reportedly already proposed the player to Fabio Paratici, with the main issue also represented in this case by the salary.
Among the possible destinations there is also the Paris FC, a solution that however would not particularly convince David at the moment.
From Zirkzee to Milik, the other moves
Juventus therefore appears ready to evaluate the Canadian's exit regardless of the arrival of the new centre forward.
Also on the way out is the Arkadiusz Milik, for which the hypothesis of the termination of the contract takes shape, while for Jeff Ekhator the possibility of a loan to Parma remains open.
On the purchasing front, in addition to Sorloth, the name of Joshua Zirkzee Manchester United. The Dutchman represents one of the most concrete options for the attacking department and could return to Serie A after his experience at Bologna.
Spalletti's priority remains clear: to add a striker with different characteristics to the squad than those already available and thus complete the department before the transfer window closes.
