FALCONARA MARITTIMA – The beach of Falconara Marittima hosted the inaugural stage of the 2026 Italian Beach Volleyball Championship, the first of nine events scheduled for the FIPAV national circuit. Climbing to the top step of the podium in the women's draw were Valentina Gottardi and Reka Orsi Toth, who in the final defeated Giada Bianchi and Claudia Scampoli. In the men's tournament, however, success for Mauro Sacripanti and Giacomo Titta, who in the final act got the better of Marco Caminati and Enrico Rossi.
The qualifying tournament featured 34 men's and 34 women's pairs, sixteen in each of the two main draws. The women's final featured two Italian pairs, confirming the high level of the Italian team. The winners were defending Italian champions Valentina Gottardi and Reka Orsi Toth, defeating Giada Bianchi and Claudia Scampoli with a score of 2-0 (21-16, 21-19). Alice Gradini and Federica Frasca rounded out the podium, finishing third overall. Third place was awarded without a final due to the injury sustained by Arianna Barboni, who was paired with Claudia Puccinelli.
In the men's tournament, victory went to Mauro Sacripanti and Giacomo Titta, who defeated Marco Caminati and Enrico Rossi in the final after a hard-fought match that ended in a 2-1 tie-break (21-19, 13-21, 15-13). Third place went to Raoul Acerbi and Tiziano Andreatta, who defeated Marco Ulisse and Giacomo Spadoni 2-1 (16-21, 21-17, 19-17) in the bronze medal match.
The next event on the circuit is scheduled in Termoli from June 19th to 21st with the first Gold stage of the season.
