MILAN – Gonçalo Ramos is experiencing a decline in his time at AC Milan, as evidenced by his recent Serie A performances. After a promising start, the Portuguese striker has shown a decline in chances created and shots on target, with just one attempt in his last two matches against Juventus and Lazio. In particular, his presence on the pitch has been less impactful, so much so that in the match at the Olimpico, coach Amorim replaced him late in the match in favor of Camarda.
The coach, however, preferred to shift the focus to teamwork, emphasizing that to help Ramos, it's necessary to increase the presence of players near the opposition's penalty area. "With Pulisic or Cisse making runs, Ramos can have more opportunities to touch the ball," Amorim explained. The coach also emphasized his respect for the player, appreciating his pressing skills and predicting that Ramos' form will improve over the course of the season.
Pulisic's continued presence behind Ramos and the addition of another attacking midfielder could be key elements in helping the striker revitalize his form. Signs of recovery are expected from the former Benfica player in the coming matches, and his contribution remains crucial to AC Milan's ambitions.
