(PRIMASPORT) TORTONA Tomorrow at 7:30 PM at the Nova Arena in Tortona, Baglietto Derthona Basket will face Le Mans Sarthe in the second matchday of Group A of the EuroCup BKT regular season, aiming to bounce back from two early losses. This will be Derthona's European home debut, and they will look to improve their defensive performance against a French team led by the dangerous Carlos Stewart.
Le Mans Sarthe, along with Derthona, making their debut in this competition, are coming off a season full of domestic success and a mixed start to the season, with an away win and a hard-fought home loss against Paris Basketball. Key players for the French team include youngster Stewart, forward Melvin Ajinca, and point guard Bastienne Grasshoff.
Derthona Basket will, however, be without the injured Paul Eboua and Edoardo Di Meo, and will need to improve especially on defense and in protecting the basket. Coach Mario Fioretti emphasized the importance of maintaining solidity for the entire 40 minutes against an athletic and aggressive team, while guard Giordano Bortolani emphasized the need for a more compact defense and a more organized offensive approach.
The match will be broadcast live on Sky Sport Arena and streamed on Now. (PRIMASPORT)
