(PRIMASPORT) The National Council of CONI has established that the elections for the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) must be held by January 31, 2027. This decision came at the same time as the unanimous ratification of the appointment of a commissioner to the FIGC.

CONI has appointed Giovanni Malagò as extraordinary commissioner, tasked with convening "the extraordinary elective assembly no later than January 31, 2027" to reinstate federal officials in accordance with legality and federal regulations. Malagò will also oversee the proper functioning of the federal apparatus during the period of administration. (PRIMASPORT)
