Attorney Cesare Di Cintio has submitted a corrective proposal as part of the Senate's 7th Committee's examination of Bill 1902, to recognize the sports secretary as a professional sports worker. The request concerns the inclusion of the sports secretary among the professional roles envisaged in Article 25 of Legislative Decree 36/2021, defining their duties, which include administrative and sports management, membership and transfers, contracts, and relationships with Federations, Leagues, and industry bodies.
According to Di Cintio, the sports secretary is a structural figure within clubs and requires legal certainty, overcoming the current regulatory gray area. The brief also contains proposals regarding the transformation of ASDs and SSDs into professional structures, ensuring the continuity of previous legal relationships and the prevention of corporate and financial blockades.
Other suggested measures concern extraordinary operations and public facilities, with the aim of making the regulatory framework consistent with the actual organization of clubs and the needs of those who work in the sports system.
