(PRIMASPORT) Zvonimir Boban, former footballer and former UEFA Chief of Football, expressed his confidence in current FIFA President Gianni Infantino's upcoming re-election. In an interview with "Radio anch'io Sport," Boban stated that, although he criticized some of Infantino's mistakes, there will be no real political war and that the vote will be in Infantino's favor, emphasizing the support already established in continents such as Asia, Oceania, South America, and Africa.
Boban also noted that Europe is more divided in its attitudes towards FIFA than commonly perceived, but reiterated that FIFA maintains a dominant role in world football compared to UEFA, which, while trying to demonstrate its superiority, remains in the background. (PRIMASPORT)
