One hundred days after the start of the 109th edition, scheduled for May 8th from Bulgaria, Naples joins the \u2019Pink City\u201c initiative by illuminating the <span class=\"s2\"><b>Maschio Angioino<\/b><\/span>, symbol of the city in the world.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The event involves all the cities hosting the 21 stages of the race, united by a symbolic lighting display in homage to the pink jersey. This is Naples&#039; fifth consecutive year of hosting the Giro, a record in modern cycling.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cNaples is the protagonist for the fifth consecutive year, an extraordinary global showcase for our territories\u201d, declared <span class=\"s2\"><b>Gaetano Manfredi<\/b><\/span>, Mayor of the Municipality and Metropolitan City of Naples, underlining the international visibility guaranteed by the sporting event followed in over 200 countries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The sixth stage, Paestum\u2013Naples, is scheduled for May 14th and is the only one in Campania.
