Andrea Kimi Antonelli si prepara a vivere il weekend che potrebbe regalargli il titolo di campione del mondo della Formula 1 all’et\u00e0 di 20 anni (un record assoluto), ma il suo arrivo a Citt\u00e0 del Messico coincide con un contrattempo medico. La terra nota per la Vendetta di Montezuma gli ha infatti subito regalato un malessere tale da convincere la Mercedes a risparmiargli il gioved\u00ec tradizionalmente dedicato agli incontri con la stampa. Spazio quindi agli altri, a partire da chi all’Autodromo Hermanos Rodr\u00edguez punta non ai punticini necessari per assicurarsi il titolo ma alla vittoria del Gran Premio: la Red Bull e la Ferrari di un ringalluzzito Charles Leclerc.<\/p>\n
Antonelli can afford to play defense, given that even finishing ninth in the Mexico City Grand Prix would secure the championship regardless of the results of others. It's a good thing, given that since his arrival in the city last Tuesday, he's been experiencing the first health problems (shared with some members of the Mercedes team and also with a colleague from another team, Cadillac's Valtteri Bottas). Precisely for this reason, Leclerc is aiming high: "I can't say we're the favorites to win the Mexico City Grand Prix, but we're certainly getting close to the top. We're on a good run, and this weekend could be excellent. We need to sort out the qualifying issue, because Ferrari is very fast but very sensitive outside of its peak performance window. I'd like to win a few more races until the end of the championship. We want to finish on a high." Lewis Hamilton also believes so: "The updates have given us a good feeling, and I'm proud of the work the team has done. I think we've been the leaders of the grid in terms of innovation this year. We deserve second place in the constructors' championship; I want to use these five races to secure it and lay the foundations for a real victory next year. And already here in Mexico, we could do very well.".<\/p>\n

Dobbiamo lavorare benissimo sull’assetto e interpretare al meglio una pista estrema, poi sar\u00e0 decisiva la strategia. Per fare bene al Gran Premio di Citt\u00e0 del Messico dovremo migliorare rispetto alle scelte di Austin\u00bb. Quindi non manca un complimento al collega, amico e probabilmente futuro erede nell’albo d’oro della Formula 1 Antonelli: \u00abLo apprezzo molto, \u00e8 un ragazzo normale, genuino, di buon cuore, con una bella famiglia e che non si sente una superstar. Vincer\u00e0 tanto anche in futuro\u00bb. E del bolognese ha parlato anche George Russell, smentendo l’ipotesi di cattivi rapporti interni in seno alla Mercedes: \u00abNon c’\u00e8 motivo per cui quest’anno non dovessimo continuare ad andare d’accordo come abbiamo sempre fatto.
