The Bianconeri goals were scored by Weston McKennie in the 29th minute and Douglas Luiz in the 41st minute. This victory helps them get back on track in the league, leaving Lazio and Rennes behind, and deflecting the criticism. These three points are crucial to staying in touch with the top spots, which are already far behind.

The first goal came from a surprising free kick taken by Douglas Luiz: Lecce's defense remained immobile, allowing McKennie to cut in and beat goalkeeper Falcone. Shortly thereafter, Douglas Luiz doubled the lead with a right-footed shot from the edge of the box, with Falcone barely managing to get a touch before it went in. The assist for the second goal was provided by Gatti, who had moved forward.

Read also

Atalanta and Frosinone finish 4-4, Sarri's team turns the tables and wastes

Bologna wins against Cagliari, Casale and Bernardeschi decide.

A brace from Douvikas gives Como the victory against Sassuolo
