The orange and green club made official this morning the dismissal of the coach, at the end of a particularly complicated start to the season which saw the lagoon team suffer six defeats in as many matchdays. The separation was determined by the last defeat, which occurred on Monday 12 October on the pitch of\u2019Atalanta<\/strong>, where Venezia was beaten 3-1, thus remaining on zero points in the standings. <\/span>This decision comes just a few months after the club achieved promotion to the top flight under Stroppa's guidance. <\/span>Through an official communication, Venezia said goodbye to the coach and his collaborators: \u201cThe Orange and Green club would like to thank Giovanni Stroppa and his staff for their hard work, professionalism, dedication, and commitment throughout their time at the club.\u201d<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

His final match as Venezia's coach once again highlighted the team's struggles. In Bergamo, Atalanta built their victory in the first half hour, taking a 3-0 lead thanks to a goal from Kessie and a brace from Krstovi\u0107. Hainaut's goal, which came before halftime, rekindled Venezia's hopes, and they attempted to fight back in the second half, but were unable to complete the comeback. <\/span>In the post-match press conference, Stroppa bitterly analyzed the incidents that had compromised the performance, highlighting the team's lack of consistency in the final minutes. Despite the difficult moment, the coach reiterated his confidence in the team's potential: \u201c"It seems to me that the team is alive and kicking and is recovering key players. Mentally, I'm disappointed with the result, but I'm confident this team can respond well in the immediate future."\u201d<\/em>. <\/span>These words were accompanied by the awareness of a now delicate position. When asked about his future, the coach acknowledged the possibility of a decision by the management: \u201c"Whatever the club's decision, I'm pleased with the trust they've shown me in recent weeks. I'm moving forward with my head down, confident that my hard work will pay off."\u201d<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

With the Stroppa experience behind them, Venezia is now called upon to quickly identify the right person to entrust with their comeback attempt.
