TRENTO Gennaro Gattuso spoke about his experience as coach after the Bosnia-Italy match, recalling the emotional difficulties he experienced during that period. At the Trento Sports Festival, the former Italy coach admitted that the match left a deep scar: "I struggled to fall asleep in the first few months. I took long walks to tire myself out and get some shut-eye.".

“"Incidents make the difference. They're part of our world and our lives," added Gattuso, emphasizing the value of the commitment of his players and staff: "I have to thank the boys and everyone who worked with me because they gave me everything they had.".

Regarding Bastoni's expulsion during the match, Gattuso wanted to tone down the criticism: "I thanked him, the mistake is part of the game, he certainly didn't do it on purpose.".

Despite the disappointment, Gattuso emphasized the importance of also looking at the positive aspects of the journey: "The good things we've done remain. It bothers me that only the result counts; instead, we also need to look at what we do and how we do it.".
