FLORENCE – The Lega Pro Clubs' Assembly, convened as an extraordinary elective and ordinary meeting, was held in Florence. President Matteo Marani opened the meeting, welcoming Federal President Giovanni Malagò, who was present at the meeting. "Lega Pro is a fundamental component of Italian football, and the work it is doing deserves attention and recognition. The Zola Reform represents an important and far-sighted decision: investing in young players means investing in the future of Italian football. I want to emphasize the sacrifice made by the club presidents. Leading a Lega Pro club means taking on enormous responsibilities, often with a passion that goes far beyond the sporting dimension. The path initiated by Matteo Marani is yielding results, and I believe it is important to continue working with this determination, placing sustainability and club development at the center. The Federation is and will remain at Lega Pro's side. The strength of Italian football also comes from the solidity of its foundations, and Serie C represents one of these," commented Federal President Malagò.

Also in attendance were CAN C leaders Domenico Messina and Nicola Ayroldi, as well as representatives from the University of Florence, with whom Lega Pro is working to develop a new training program for its clubs.

President Marani began by analyzing the first half of the Serie C Sky Wifi season. Other important topics were also on the agenda: audiovisual rights, for which marketing guidelines for the 2028-29, 2029-30, and 2030-31 seasons were approved; the introduction of 16-meter cameras and the first year of production with Sky; and the Salary Cap, which, following the experimental phase, is beginning to yield positive results in terms of the sustainability and financial stability of Serie C clubs. Indeed, for the first time, no increase in salaries was recorded. Regarding the possible federal administration, the Assembly unanimously expressed its opposition to the FIGC's administration and its support for President Giovanni Malago.

Regarding the election activities of the Extraordinary Assembly, three non-independent members of the Board of Directors were elected taking into account the principle of representativeness of the Groups within the Board: Ludovic Deléchat, President of the FC Pro Vercelli 1892 Company, Umberto Pagano, CEO of the US Salernitana 1919 Company, and Filippo Simone, Director of Altamura.credi
