And the twenty-two-year-old Atalanta defender, fresh from a contract renewal with the club where he grew up and made his name, displays the attitude of a veteran. In the match against Turkey, paired with Bastoni, another Atalanta youth product who has often been linked with him, the defender, fresh from his contract extension with Atalanta, played a cautious and flawless game. "The victory against Turkey made us realize that we're a strong team, that we have the ability to play good football and win. The senior players are helping us young players a lot, and that's very important; it shows the true spirit of Italy and the national team. The group is fantastic, we're getting along really well." After overcoming the uncertainties of their Nations League debut against Belgium, Italy awaits the ultimate test in Paris.\u00a0 <\/span>Even without Mbapp\u00e9, France remains a formidable attacker. And the Italian defense will not be able to afford any distractions: "France is a very strong team, among the best in the world, and especially in attack they have the quality and pace of anyone else.
