ROME \u2013 The Olympic Trench Championship has crowned the Italian Club Champions for the 2026 competitive season. Yesterday, Sunday, September 27, four venues hosted the 112 teams from the clubs that qualified for the final of the Italian Club Championship, divided by affiliation category.<\/p>\n
The First Category team competition was hosted by TAV Gioiese in Gioia del Colle (BA), where 27 teams, including seven from the Armed Forces and State Corps Sports Groups, gathered for a total of 162 specialists competing for the club's Italian title on the Apulian stages. The Sicilian team TAV Castanea (ME), composed of Antonio Passalacqua, Sebastiano Fazio, Carmelo Passalacqua, Alessio Nostro, Andrea Bruno, and Antonino Biondo, took top honors, finishing their competition with a total score of 533\/600. The silver medal went to Torretta 1 (CL), a team composed of Pierluigi Sollami, Fabio Sollami, Francesco Gorgone, Serafino Lo Porto, Giovanni Antonino Sollami, and Tommaso Castronovo, with a score of 529\/600. Climbing to the third step of the podium were the six from Tav Cascata delle Marmore (TR), third with 526\/600, which fielded Marco Benedetti, Corrado Pontecorvi, Marco Leonardi, Gianni Medei, Andrea Pagliaricci and Giampiero Patacchiola.<\/p>\n
In the Armed Forces and State Corps Teams competition, the Italian title was once again won by the Fiamme Oro, who confirmed their title as Italian Champions with a total score of 562\/600 thanks to the performances of Samuele Faustinelli, Simone Lorenzo Prosperi, Fabrizio Fisichella, Matteo Marongiu, Lorenzo Ferrari, and Emanuele Buccolieri. The Carabinieri sextet, represented by Valerio Grazini, Luca Miotto, Gaia Ragazzini, Alessia Iezzi, Daniele Resca, and Federica Caporuscio, finished second with a score of 554\/600. Third place went to the Fiamme Azzurre, who finished with a total of 547\/600, a team composed of Mattia Sardi, Riccardo Mirabile, Alessandro Esposito, Mattia Polidori, Matteo D'Ambrosi, and Alessandro Martin Cito.<\/p>\n
For the Second Category, the race for the Italian title was held at TAV Acquaviva in Cellino Attanasio (TE). Twenty-seven teams competed for the Scudetto, with a total of 162 specialists. At the end of the four rounds, the Tuscan team TAV Pisa (PI) took the top step of the podium with Stefano Narducci, Nicholas Antonini, Jacopo Cipriani, Massimo Checchi, Ezio Rossi, and Federico Giannini, scoring 546\/600. In second place was TAV Sezze (LT) with Simone Spadaro, Dante Fanti, Paolo Consalvi, Francesco Zannella, Gianluca Porcelli, and Francesco Isabella, who scored 537\/600. Just one plate behind were the third-placed athletes from TAV Olimpia Crevalcore (BO): Luca Bondi, Davide Folesani, Guglielmina Chinaglia, Stefano Bergamini, Pier Giorgio Pola and Stefano Bellodi, who won bronze with 536\/600.<\/p>\n
In Massa Martana (PG), the TAV Umbriaverde-Todi shooting range hosted the Third Category final. A total of 156 shooters competed on the range, representing 26 teams. The 2026 championship was won by the Lombardy team TAV Pezzaioli (BS), Nicola Francesco Peru, Marco Mangolini, Michele Rocchi, Robertino Tacchetto, Gianni Marco Gusella, and Manuel Beatini, who scored 542\/600 points. The TAV Pezzaioli team, Stefano Mariani, Paolo Frigerio, Albino Del Baldo, Dario Caretta, Massimo Gosio, and Luca Caputo, also scored 542\/600 points, but finished second due to a difference of zero. The athletes from TAV Ramacca (CT) won the bronze medal, with Raffaello Grassi, Mirko Alfio Licciardello, Gaetano Licciardello, Casimiro Grassi, Antonino Buda and Agatino Giovanni Lombardo with 541\/600.<\/p>\n
A total of 25 Fourth Category teams competed at the TAV OS Academy in Battuda (PV), with a total of 150 athletes on the platform. Celebrating their victory in the Italian Team Championship were the Umbrian team TAV Gualdo Tadino (PG), whose Daniele D'Amico, Andrea Zena, Diego Angeloni, Fabio Cotozzolo, Giuseppe Patassini, and Thomas Torzoni scored 530\/600, finishing ahead of the TAV La Contea (SR) team, composed of Giuseppe Fiume, Giuseppe Centonze, Francesco Idone, Adriano Avveduto, Daniele Castiglia, and Gaetano Alessandro Piazza, who finished second with a score of 526\/600. TAV Poggio dei Castagni (BS), featuring Daniel Gilberti, Andrea Prati, Marco Zilioli, Alessandro Rubinelli, Roberto Favalli, and Mattia Bertoni, finished third with a score of 525\/600.<\/p>\n
