PONTEDERA \u2013 Giulio Pellizzari has secured his place among the stars of international cycling with the Giro della Toscana \u2013 Memorial Alfredo Martini. The Red Bull-BORA-Hansgrohe native from the Marche region won the eleventh edition of the 189.4-kilometer race, starting and finishing in Pontedera, thanks to a decisive attack immediately after the red triangle in the final kilometer. He gained a handful of meters at the perfect time and defended them to the finish, ahead of Frenchman Jordan Jegat (TotalEnergies) and Cristian Scaroni (XDS Astana Team). This is Pellizzari's sixth victory of 2026 and his first in a one-day race. This season, he won both stages and the overall classification of the Tour of the Alps, the final stage of the Vuelta a Burgos, and the crowning stage of the Deutschland Tour. The Giro della Toscana was decided on the final climb of Monte Serra. After an initial breakaway of five riders and a subsequent regrouping, the final selection put ten men in the lead, including Pellizzari, Scaroni, Antonio Tiberi, Lenny Martinez, and Michael Storer.
