TORRE DE ROVERI (BG) – Dossena-Ceresara will be the final that will award the 113th championship title on Saturday 14 August in Torre de Roveri, in the province of Bergamo, a match that will decide who will succeed Mantua's Castellaro in the Roll of Honor.

In the return matches, Dossena defeated a tenacious Segno team two sets to love, who tried to force the Orobic team to a tie break until the very end. The final score was 6-2, 6-4, with Dossena entering the decisive match as the logical favorite against Ceresara, who took the first set in Solferino, surrendered the second, and then won the tie break. After their resounding victory in the first leg, Dossena has likely earned an unexpected milestone on the eve of the season, also thanks to Manuel Festi's injury, which prevented the reigning European champions from competing as they would have liked. But credit and honor goes to President Fabrizio Pezzini's team, which will be playing all its cards in the prestigious match against Dossena.

The second matchday of the Coppa Italia was on Saturday, with Cavrianese in Group A coming from behind to defeat the resisting Castelli Calepio team. Ceresara-Arcene was postponed to August 30th. In Group B, an all-Verona derby between Bardolino and Valgatara took place, with the Garda team prevailing 6-4, while Segno-Castellaro was postponed to August 30th.

In Serie B, the second division also features reverse-field matches, with Noarna dominating the regular season and leaving the crumbs to Fumane to advance to the top division for the first time. Cereta also confirmed its performance, winning the first set 6-5 against Castelnuovo, who then lost in the tie-break. This marks the return of the Mantua team to Serie A after eight years. Next Friday, the final for the Italian title will take place on the Torre de Roveri court.

In the Italian Cup, Valle San Felice won a narrow victory in Group A at Arcene, with Fumane-Fontigo postponed to August 30. In Group B, Cavaion earned two points in a long tiebreaker against Sporminore on Saturday, while Cereta-Cinaglio was postponed to August 29.

The women's Serie A championship had already concluded with Alegra Settime's narrow victory over Ubisport Ciserano in the final in Cavalcaselle, securing their fourth Scudetto. The Women's Coppa Italia kicks off at the end of August, with two groups of three teams each featuring one-way matches. Group A features Alegra Settime, Guidizzolo, and Tigliolese, while Group B features Ubisport Ciserano, Faedo, and Cavrianese. The two group winners will play the final on Sunday, September 20th, at the Cinaglio stadium.
