Atalanta has announced its squad for the opening of the new season, which officially begins on Monday, July 6, with medicals in Bergamo, preceding assessments at the Bortolotti Sports Center in Zingonia, once again chosen as the venue for summer training. Thirty-three players have been called up, including twelve U23 players with the first team, while the eight players who participated or are still participating in the World Cup will return later. These players include De Roon, Ederson, Pasalic, Kolasinac, Kossounou, de Ketelaere, Kamaldeen Sulemana, and Hien, who left the World Cup due to injury and is currently undergoing rehabilitation after undergoing surgery on June 30 to repair the proximal tendon of the semimembranosus muscle in his left thigh. The Swedish defender is expected to return in the last ten days of September, after the first league break. Among those called up are those destined to find employment elsewhere, such as El Bilal Tour\u00e9, Ibrahim Sulemana, and Mitchel Bakker. The futures of Raoul Bellanova and Daniel Maldini, who Maurizio Sarri has had at Lazio since late January, are also yet to be decided.
