In the Viareggio-Marina di Massa individual time trial, the hour record holder covered the 42km of flatland between Versilia and the Apuan Riviera at an average speed of 54.921 km\/h, in 45'53".
\nSecond place went to Dutchman Thymen Arensman, at 1'54", followed by Frenchman R\u00e9mi Cavagna, at 1'59". This was the tenth stage.
\nIn the general classification, Portugal's Afonso Eulalio is 4:57 behind Ganna and retains the pink jersey. The favorite for the overall victory is Denmark's Jonas.
