Sets read 25-21, 25-17, 17-25, 25-10. Italy, off to a flying start, led the first two sets to love thanks to Roman\u00f2's aces. Then, the Bulgarians came back, making the match difficult. But in the fourth set, the Azzurri rediscovered Michieletto's play. Bulgaria began to falter, and Italy took the lead: their opponents were swept aside 25-10.
